The time has come and the first fans are flocking to Download Festival 2026, as the campsites open starting today. And even though the festival is almost completely sold out, there is still hope for anyone wanting to experience Linkin Park, Bad Omens, Ice Nine Kills, and many more this weekend, because (as of right now) there are still final day tickets left for the last day of the festival:

Weather Update: Rain or Shine?
By the looks of it, fans at Download this year are relatively safe when it comes to sunstroke and heat exhaustion. Rain showers are to be expected from today through Friday, and even though temperatures will rise to around 20-21°C just in time for the stage lineup on Friday, it will likely remain overcast, which should provide some natural sun protection even during longer stays in front of the stage.
Nevertheless, you should obviously still apply sunscreen or at least keep it within reach, plus a cap or bucket hat for quick shade.
For those who haven't set off yet and still have time to pack: depending on the forecast, don't forget your poncho or rain jacket, but don't forget your sunglasses either!
