Thy Art Is Murder Interview: Dream Collab with Female Singer & German Techno

While on tour with Parkway Drive, we asked Sean and Jesse from Thy Art Is Murder about their Top Three, including their dream collaborations…

Parkway Drive’s 20 Year Anniversary Tour in Europe is coming to an end, and that means Thy Art Is Murder will soon get a break as well. Since the tour kicked off in Leipzig in September, they’ve been going full force — and they even took some time to answer a few of our curious questions. Guitarist Sean Delander and drummer Jesse Beahler took on our Top Three challenge. Along the way, we got to overhear some ideas for the future that we’d definitely love to see come to life!

Sean & Jesse Reveal Their Dream Collabs

Sean: "I think it'd be cool to get some singing going on one of our songs.

Jesse: "Singing?"

Sean: "Yeah, at some point, maybe a female singer would be nice. Some nicer sounding music."

And number two?

Sean: "Something a bit more crustier, metal vibe would be good. Would have been nice to get George from Cannibal Corpse on a track."

Plus the grand finale:

Sean: "A rapper? We get a rapper?"

Jesse: "I think Thy Art Is Murder would be sick with like, JPEG Mafia, Schwefelgelb, Flume. Those three would go off."

Sean: "Yeah, we're really into this German act called Schwefelgelb."

Jesse: "Yeah, just like hard, scary ...."

Sean: "Industrial techno, I guess."

Jesse: "Yeah, but it's still as heavy and fast."

Sean: "Something like that. A little mashup genre wise would be a cool change I think."
