For eight years, drummer Joe Longobardi tirelessly swung the drumsticks for The Amity Affliction; now he is announcing his departure. In a social media post, he writes:
“After 8 years I have decided to leave The Amity Affliction. I feel extremely grateful and fortunate to have spent those years with the band. I wish Johnny, Dan and Joel along with the crew nothing but the very best moving forward.
It’s been an incredible journey. Thank you all for the love. See you out there ❤️”
The band's latest studio album was just released in April; accordingly, House of Cards is the final work to feature Joe Longobardi. For the band, this means another lineup change after founding member and vocalist Ahren Stringer already departed last year.
We wish both Joe and TAA all the best on their paths ahead.
EU Live Dates in Fall 2026
The Amity Affliction will be back on stage in autumn, supported by Silent Planet, Varials, and Orthodox. Whether a temporary drummer or a brand-new member will be behind the kit for the upcoming concerts remains an exciting question.
