Last night, during the 50th season celebration of Saturday Night Live (SNL 50), the audience and television viewers witnessed a historic performance. All surviving members of the legendary grunge band Nirvana reunited on stage, joined by none other than Post Malone on vocals.

The original Nirvana lineup featured Dave Grohl on drums, Krist Novoselic on bass, and Pat Smear on guitar. Together, they delivered a powerful live rendition of “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, one of the most iconic songs in rock history.

This isn’t the first time Post Malone has performed Nirvana songs. During the pandemic, he did a live-stream filled with Nirvana covers, featuring Travis Barker (Blink-182) on drums. The recordings from that session are set to be released on Record Store Day (April 12, 2024)!

Adam Sandler introduced the special band lineup with a heartfelt announcement:

"But the music will live on forever. Ladies and gentlemen, Post Nirvana!"
