The cause of death of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne has now been disclosed by his daughter Aimée Osbourne. She submitted the death certificate to The New York Times, who have now reported on it. According to the certificate, Ozzy’s death on July 22, 2025, was caused by a heart attack that occurred outside of a hospital. The singer had been suffering for years from coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction.

At the age of 76, the musician finally succumbed to these health challenges, after already being restricted in his mobility for a long time. In February, he had announced that he could no longer walk, which is why he performed seated at the big Black Sabbath farewell concert “Back To The Beginning.”

An air ambulance was dispatched to the scene on the day of Ozzy’s death. A team provided immediate critical care.

Our thoughts remain with Ozzy Osbourne’s family and all fans around the world.
