So far, six Linkin Park songs have surpassed the 1 billion mark on Spotify alone. Now, the track “Somewhere I Belong” from their album Meteora (2003) has become the seventh to reach this milestone.
Previously, these six tracks led the list:
- “In The End” – Hybrid Theory
- “Numb” – Meteora
- “Faint” – Meteora
- “What I’ve Done” – Minutes To Midnight
- “One Step Closer” – Hybrid Theory
- “Numb/Encore” with Jay-Z
Soon, their well-known songs “Crawling” (Hybrid Theory) and “Bleeding Out” (Minutes To Midnight) could also hit this milestone.
Linkin Park guitarist Brad Delson wrote about the “Somewhere I Belong” music video on the LP website:
"Joe is directing the new video by himself and we are really very proud of what he’s done in the past. He’s definitely going to be special effects and CGI intensive. Joe’s background is in creating larger than life visual environments. The song is really about escape and trying to find a place where you belong – but in this case Chester basically falls into a dream, which is the place where he is most comfortable, and Joe is trying to bring to life Chester's subconscious, which is where the majority of the video takes place."
Let’s get nostalgic with the clip:
