In just over two weeks, the time has finally come: August Burns Red will release their brand-new album Season Of Surrender (Pre-Order here). We’ve already gotten to hear three singles from the record, while the upcoming full-length will feature a total of eleven tracks. According to frontman Jake Luhrs, the band experimented a little on the new songs while still maintaining the classic ABR vibe:

“We thought a little outside the box, but at the core we still sound very much like the ABR you know. At the same time, we felt like we’re more than what we’ve been before.”

Instead of completely reinventing themselves, the band simply dug a little deeper — and Season Of Surrender was the result. “I honestly have to say that I’m totally in love with this record,” Jake admits with a laugh. “It’s one of my favorite albums we’ve ever written.”

Despite keeping the classic ABR touch, the songs on the album are more diverse than ever before. “There are very dark moments, there’s a lot of anger and frustration, but also very emotional moments because of that,” the singer explains about the meaning behind the tracks. “It’s about finding your way out of the desert. That’s basically the storyline behind the whole record.”

Season Of Surrender will be released on June 5, 2026 via Fearless Records. The album marks the eleventh full-length release by August Burns Red. The tracklist reads as follows:

  1. Legions (feat. Mike Hranica from The Devil Wears Prada)
  2. The Nameless
  3. Behemoth
  4. Den Of Thieves
  5. Sonic Salvation (feat. Jamie Hails from Polaris)
  6. Cerebral Malfunction (feat. Make Them Suffer)
  7. Tear Of The Clouds
  8. Whispers Like Splinters
  9. S.O.S.
  10. New Horizons
  11. Forged By Failure
