Image: Black Sabbath "Back To The Beginning" – Official Concert Poster
There’s no doubt that the final concert of rock and metal legends Black Sabbath will be one of this year’s biggest highlights. Not only will they be playing for the first time in 20 years with their original lineup, but they are also bringing the show back to Birmingham - where it all began. Black Sabbath have shaped heavy metal like no other band, and their fanbase is massive. Naturally, ticket demand is through the roof. Unfortunately, even though general sales haven’t even started yet, complaints about ticket prices have already surfaced.
First Presales: Here Are the Prices
The first presale for Black Sabbath’s farewell concert started on February 11 (Artist Presale), followed by the O2 and Virgin Media customer presale on February 12. The general presale will finally begin on February 14 at 10 AM.
Expect long online wait times and steep prices though...
A standing ticket was already priced at £262.50, which converts to around €315. The cheapest seated tickets start at £197 (about €236). From there, prices only go up, reaching €495 per seat for spots beside the stage. VIP packages are, of course, available as an extra option, starting at £329.50 (€395) and going all the way up to a staggering £2,932.50 (€3,513).
That’s a serious amount of money to consider, even for die-hard Black Sabbath fans. But of course, the rest of the lineup has to be taken into account as well, featuring major acts like Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, and many more.
Either way, we’re wishing the best of luck to everyone trying their luck with tickets!
