We’ve had to say goodbye to many great bands over the years - but quite a few of them have found their way back together. From Slayer to Linkin Park, let’s revisit the biggest reunion highlights of recent years!

1. Guns N’ Roses

Since 2016, fans have been able to see Guns N’ Roses live again, even though they haven’t released new material since their reunion - except for previously unreleased recordings. However, new music is not off the table!

2. Blink-182

Things are different with Blink-182: After their reunion in 2009, they quickly released a new album in 2011, Neighborhoods, followed by three more studio albums, most recently One More Time…, which was expanded with One More Time Part 2.

3. Linkin Park

Linkin Park made waves last year with their highly anticipated comeback. With new vocalist Emily Armstrong, a fresh album From Zero, and a massive world tour, they returned in spectacular fashion - and are apparently already working on new music.

4. Black Sabbath

Black Sabbath remain one of the most iconic bands in metal history. They reunited in 2011 and are set to play their final farewell concert this summer. Their last studio album, 13, was released in 2013.

5. Slayer

Slayer also caused a stir last year with their reunion. There are no plans for new music yet, but they’re back on the road with concerts and festival appearances!

6. My Chemical Romance

My Chemical Romance fans were thrilled about their comeback in 2019 - although the tour had to be postponed to 2022 due to the pandemic. Still, they delivered the new single "The Foundations of Decay" right away.

7. Fall Out Boy

Fall Out Boy’s hiatus was short-lived - they reunited and have since released four studio albums, from Save Rock and Roll to So Much (for) Stardust.

8. Led Zeppelin

2007 marked the comeback of Led Zeppelin - not with new music, but with their 2012 live album Celebration Day.

9. Disturbed

Disturbed made their grand return in 2015 with Immortalized and haven’t disappointed fans since. Just this month, they released the 25th-anniversary edition of their debut album The Sickness.

10. Sex Pistols

Another major 2024 comeback: The Sex Pistols are back on stage, though without frontman Johnny Rotten, due to ongoing conflicts over the "Pistol" series. Instead, Frank Carter of Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes has taken over as lead singer for live shows.

11. Mötley Crüe

Mötley Crüe reunited in 2018, with a tour originally planned for 2019. It was postponed due to the pandemic but eventually happened. A new studio album remains elusive…

12. Pixies

Although the Pixies reunited in 2004, it took a while before they released new music. That only happened after Kim Deal left the band in 2013. Since 2015, they’ve been putting out albums regularly, from Indie Cindy to The Night the Zombies Came.

13. The Smashing Pumpkins

The Smashing Pumpkins resumed work on new music in 2006 after releasing Machina/The Machines of God and Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music in 2000. Their comeback album was Zeitgeist!

14. Breaking Benjamin

Breaking Benjamin have been back since 2014 and quickly followed up with their new album Dark Before Dawn in 2015. In 2018, they released its successor, Ember.

15. Weezer

After a hiatus from 1997 to 2000, Weezer made a strong comeback in 2001 with a self-titled studio album, followed by many more. They certainly haven’t been short on new music!
